How it Works
On the day of the wedding, I arrive two to three hours before the ceremony to start painting the couple’s chosen background. Most couples, or the family or friend coordinating the painting, select the scene ahead of time. This gives me a chance to bring it to life without hesitation on the wedding day.
As the background comes together, I watch for meaningful moments. I snap a photo of the first kiss, dip in the first dance, or a quiet exchange of glances to reference as I add the couple into the painting. I travel as the guests do throughout the evening, from the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, and then to the reception, adding the special details that make the couple’s celebration beautiful!

Watercolor Guest Portraits
Watercolor guest portraits add a fun and personalized touch to a wedding celebration or event. Guests love them because they feel seen and celebrated! Each portrait highlights guests’ unique style through their outfit and accessories while maintaining vague facial detail. Many portraits are completed on site, (5-9/hour, usually depicting 2-5 guests each) giving guests a special keepsake to take home. Any remaining paintings are finished afterward and mailed to the couple to include with their thank you notes.
For couples, these portraits offer a meaningful way to thank loved ones with something lasting and personal. As guests arrive, I photograph them, then I paint 5×7” watercolor portraits throughout the evening. These personalized favors capture the joy, energy, and style of the day, turning fleeting moments into lasting memories that everyone can cherish for years to come!
